Obi Iyiegbu, commonly known as Obi Cubana, a well-known Nigerian socialite, recently offered his thoughts on money accumulation.
According to the businessman, impoverished men’s children are now obtaining the properties of rich men.
He said that the properties that rich men leave for their children are frequently squandered after their deaths.
Cubana encouraged people not to spend their entire lives acquiring fortune without taking time to enjoy it.
He also mentioned that the offspring of affluent men are now serving the children of poor men, who have become wealthy themselves.
He stated on Instagram, “Read with an open mind…”.
“Today the children of yesterdays rich are serving the children of yesterdays poor…..
“The poor men’s children of yesterdays are busy buying out the properties of rich men of yesterdays, from the children they acquired and left those properties for! It’s the cycle of life!!!
“Funny enough, most of the rich NEVER enjoyed the luxury of the wealth they were busy acquiring while alive!
“Our people have a saying ‘ọlu ụnọ na-amuta ole ụnọ’.” Translated as ‘The builder/acquiring man gives birth to a seller-son…’.
“Last line: While you toil and work very hard to acquire, make out time to enjoy the proceeds of your hard work!
“Most importantly, may your acquired wealth be beneficial to mankind, and not a source of pain and oppression….…
“Time is ticking, and nothing lasts forever……SELAH!”
In other news, Nigerian music legend 2Face Idibia casts subtle shade in a recent social media post while complimenting billionaire businessman Obi Cubana.
It’s worth noting that notorious social media pundit VeryDarkMan chastised Obi Cubana for requesting that blogs stop talking about young people who disrespect elders in order to avoid propagating such behaviour.
This came following a backlash against VDM, who attacked Iyabo Ojo, triggering a response from her partner, Paulo Okoye.
VeryDarkMan accused Obi Cubana of frivolously squandering money while stating that he never speaks out on critical topics, particularly those affecting young people, and that the billionaire dislikes him for telling the truth.
2Face Idibia recently posted a photo of Obi Cubana to his Instagram account, stating that when the wrong person recounts the tale, someone becomes the bad guy.
His words: “Loud it for African Media ✊🏿 You’ll always be the bad guy when the wrong person tells your story! ✍🏿✍️”
