Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, and Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, have teamed up to support the PDP in the South-West region.

The governor remarked that the alignment will promote party unity and advancement while speaking to reporters just after meeting with the governor of Osun State in the governor’s office courtesy room in Agodi, Ibadan.

Makinde called Adeleke his brother and stated that the growth of the South-West geographical zone and the PDP’s unity and well-being were the main topics of discussion during their meeting.

He said: “Like my brother said, we are one. We discussed issues around the unity of our party in the South-West and alignment, and we are aligned. I can assure you that we will do what we are supposed to do.”

Speaking at the same time, Governor Adeleke praised Governor Makinde for his enormous advancements in Oyo State’s infrastructure, pointing out that his administration had been following Osun State’s lead in terms of extensive infrastructure development.

He continued by saying that following a heated debate, they both decided to agree on the South-West PDP.

“I am proud to be here in Oyo State, because we are brothers. I am just coming from my working vacation in Bangkok, Thailand, and I felt that coming from Lagos, I could not just go home but pay a visit to my brother, Governor Seyi Makinde, to tell him that I am back.

“I love him and I want to tell him that he is doing a good job in Oyo State. I want to give him a report card on the infrastructure he is doing in the state, which made him win a second term.’’
