A Nigerian man has sparked outrage after confessing that he used the money meant for his cousin’s surgery to place a sports bet—and lost it all.
He made this shocking revelation in the comment section of a social media platform, where he explained that his cousin needed urgent surgery for a health condition. Since he was the one handling the funds, he decided to gamble it on football betting, hoping to win big.
Unfortunately, the bet failed, and his cousin passed away as a result. Shockingly, rather than taking responsibility, he blamed Napoli FC, the football team that ruined his bet, for his cousin’s death.
His words read:
“I used money for person surgery to play game. Lol Omo, na Napoli kill my cousin, no be me.”
His confession has left many people in disbelief and outrage, with some calling him irresponsible and heartless.
@bigsteve2023 – “Blaming Napoli instead of blaming yourself? The audacity.”
@itz_ray_p – “Sports betting will ruin a lot of lives, but this one is next level.”
@official_lyta – “So you still dey laugh?? This is wickedness!”
@queen_maryjay – “This is why greed will always be a curse. Now you lost both the money and your cousin’s life.”
