A Nigerian individual, Sunday Omisakin, who received a pardon from Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has been detained at the Ilesa Correctional Facility for allegedly breaking into a residence and stealing a television valued at ₦600,000, just eight days after his pardon for a previous theft of chickens.
Omisakin was identified as number 8 on the governor’s prerogative of mercy list, which was signed on December 26, 2024, and he had been granted clemency for a lesser offense.
However, on January 3, 2025, he was apprehended for allegedly committing burglary in Osogbo and stealing the television.
The accused was brought before the Osun State Magistrate Court in Osogbo, where Magistrate Adekanmi Adeyeba presided over the case, which included two charges of burglary and theft.
Omisakin has been remanded in custody while awaiting further court proceedings.

The actor, known for his controversial statements, remarked that he would be eagerly awaiting their responses, humorously referring to himself as a “coconut head.”
“Name one actor in Africa who’s fresher than me.
I’ll wait.
