A Nigerian man has been detained after stabbing his girlfriend in the stomach with a knife in Lagos State.
A video of the incident, which is presently trending on X (previously Twitter), shows the aftermath.
In the footage, the victim is shown sitting on the floor, breathing slowly, as spectators shout in despair.
The footage also shows the guy hiding his face as he is restrained by his trousers to prevent him from escaping after the crime.
