A man has passed away after fasting for 19 days.
The 58-year-old individual, whose name has not been disclosed, died while participating in a spiritual dry fasting, as reported by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Tuesday.
Hundeyin indicated that the event occurred in the Alagbado area of the state on Monday at approximately 6:00 AM.
The Public Relations Officer stated that the deceased’s younger brother, whose identity was also not revealed, reported the incident to the Alagbado Police Division around 7:00 PM on the same day.
According to Hundeyin, the younger brother mentioned that his sibling died while allegedly engaging in a 19-day dry fast.
Hundeyin further noted, “No foul play suspected, family demands to convey the corpse for burial.”
