Man Flees From House In Agbor, Delta After Herdsmen Abduct His Brothers

A resident of Agbor in Delta State, Nigeria, has reportedly fled his home following the abduction of his two brothers by suspected herdsmen. The man, whose story has gained traction on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), shared a video detailing his ordeal.

In the video, he appears distressed as he films the house he says he was forced to leave behind due to ongoing security threats in the area. He explained that his brothers were kidnapped by herdsmen, and despite reporting the matter to the police, no substantial help was provided.

According to his account, law enforcement officers allegedly advised him to pay the ransom demanded by the kidnappers to secure the release of his siblings. He expressed fear for his safety and concern over the continued activities of the criminal group in the region.

His statement: “See my house, I abandoned it because of the kidnapping in my area. They’ve kidnapped my two brothers. The first time they came, they took both of them, and now they’ve come again. Thank God the area is developing, and the bush is being cleared.”

“We went to the police, and they told us to pay the ransom while they investigate.”

“There are houses in the area, but from around 6 p.m., you’re not safe. They know every road in Agbor, even the places I don’t know.”

“They took my brothers and made them trek through the bush.”
