A man expressed his sadness on X after his mother was let go from her job after 21 years.
In February, he shared that his mother had been a temporary worker at a hospital for many years, but they never made her a permanent employee, despite her hard work.
He mentioned, “My mom has been working for the Armed Forces Specialist Hospital in Kano State for more than 20 years as a temporal registered nurse and midwife. She has done everything she can to get a permanent job.”
On August 5, 2024, he returned to share that his mother was fired for refusing to have an inappropriate relationship with her boss.
He wrote: “My mom just received her sack letter today. After 21 years of working and hoping that the employment would be promoted into a permanent one, she has been sacked, because she does not want to sleep with the commandant.”*
