Numerous villagers were abducted and many others were killed when gunmen thought to be terrorists attacked the Kwatar community in the Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State, close to Gidan Zala.
Gistlover reliably gathered that the bandits invaded the community in the wee hours of Friday without security operatives intervention.
Ismaila, a village police officer, claims that during the terrorists’ deadly operation, many villagers were killed, some were kidnapped, and many others managed to escape with various degrees of injuries.
“My father, elder brother and his wife were also killed along with many villagers in the attack”, he added.
Speaking further, he claimed that almost all of the villager survivors had fled the area out of concern for the bandits’ potential reappearance.
Ya’u Ibrahim, a different resident of the village, told Gistlover that the attack was terrible and emphasized that many people in the community suffered serious injuries while attempting to flee the vicious assault.
He urged the federal government to urgently declare a state of emergency in the State so that the citizens could breathe easier.
In addition, Gisttlover learned that on the same day, armed bandits launched a terror attack at a village close to Dangibga village in the State’s Tsafe Local Government Area, though the number of casualties has not yet been made public.
The State’s axis to Tsafe Local Government Area has turned into a bandit hotspot, this medium can report with authority.
The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Yazeed Abdulahi, refused to answer his calls, making it impossible for him to get the police’s reactions.
