“Marlians No Dey Celebrate Valentine” – Naira Marley Declares

Popular Nigerian singer, Afeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, has highlighted an act that ‘Marlians’ do not celebrate Valentine.

The ‘kojojose’ singer declared on his verified Twitter page ahead of February 14 that Marlians do not observe Valentine’s Day.

Naira Marley posited that those who belong in his Marlian group do not observe ‘lovers day’ or are unable to enjoy since they are single.

He wrote; ”Marlians no dey celebrate Valentine’s Day o you’re single. Be clear”

Valentine’s Day, also called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14.

It originated as a Christian feast day honoring one or two early Christian martyrs named Saint Valentine and, through later folk traditions, has become a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and love in many regions of the world. (Wikipedia)
