Rev. Fr. Angelo Chidi Unegbu, a Nigerian Catholic priest, shared a warning about a marriage that fell apart because of a dream that led to cheating accusations.
He posted this story on Facebook on January 9, stressing the risks of trusting dreams and prophecies in relationships.
Fr. Unegbu explained that a man believed his wife was unfaithful after dreaming she was balancing a mattress on her head.
The man’s mother interpreted the dream as a sign of his wife’s betrayal, which led to ongoing conflicts in their marriage. Ultimately, the accusations caused the relationship to collapse.
Fr. Unegbu used this case to warn against making relationship choices based on dreams or prophecies. He pointed out that these beliefs can lead to troubled marriages by creating an atmosphere of suspicion and mistrust.
How a husband’s ‘dream of wife cheating’ crashed a marriage
“MARRIAGE AND DREAMS. A young man dreamt about his newly married wife carrying a mattress on her head. In the morning she narrated his dream to his mom, who told him that the meaning of the dream is that his wife is not faithful.
”The husband insisted that his wife must confess to him. His wife denied the allegation. The drama began. The drama led to daily quarrels between the young couple. Today, they are divorced.
This is a story I have been following for over 10 years now. It is a real story.
