Sonia Adesua, the former spouse of footballer Jude Ighalo, provides guidance to couples regarding the significance of a wedding ring.

It is worth mentioning that the former couple experienced a tumultuous exchange on social media after their divorce in 2022, which concluded their 14-year marriage.

In a recent post on Instagram, Sonia emphasized that wedding rings serve as a public declaration of commitment, clearly indicating one’s relationship status.

Additionally, the mother of two urged couples who do not wear wedding rings to consider adopting this practice in order to eliminate any potential confusion.

Her post reads, “Married people in Lagos please always wear your wedding ring.

They are a symbol of commitment to your significant other and a public statement to strangers. Stop confusing singles out there”.

In other news, Former Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eyes’ contestant, Queen Mercy Atang, has expressed her distress regarding the negativity prevalent on the internet.

The reality television personality faced a harsh comment on her latest post, criticizing her for being upset over inquiries concerning her husband and her marriage, which is reportedly facing difficulties. In response, in a now-deleted message, Queen remarked on the harshness of the online environment, revealing that she has encountered numerous unflattering remarks about herself.

In addressing allegations of targeting an individual named Sophia, Queen clarified that she does not recall making such comments, emphasizing that she typically focuses on her own affairs and endeavors. She mentioned that she seldom defends herself on social media, regardless of the severity of the criticism.

The single mother reflected on her long-standing aspiration to achieve fame and wealth, noting that the attention she has gained is now leading to complications in her life.

“On this internet. I’ve read so much about myself. All I can say is this space is vile. I can’t even recall throwing a shade at anyone. I mind my business and hustle. I don’t even defend myself in this space, no matter how bad. I have seen real life from fans on the internet. My DM is filled with amazing and lovely comments from y’all. I can’t wait to share them all. And I’ve also read vile comments, and sometimes I do ask myself, Queen, is this you or someone else? God help me. All I’ve always prayed for is to be famous and rich. Fame I’ve, money I’m hustling up to get it. But it may seem as tho the game is landing me in trouble here and there. God help me”.
