Mary Njoku, a Nollywood actress and filmmaker, has shared her perspective on social media and its improper use in addressing real-life issues.
She observed that many people act as “keyboard warriors,” voicing their complaints online instead of tackling problems face-to-face.
As a mother of three and the founder of Rok TV, she longs for the days when people could have meaningful conversations about their challenges.
Njoku pointed out that some individuals seek public sympathy and temporary fame on social media, which stops real change from happening.
She advised that after using social media, people should return to dealing with issues in real life, where their struggles are not publicly scrutinized.
