Mayorkun hails Victor Osimhen as he links up with football star in Italy – [Video]

On a recent trip to Naples, Italy, afrobeat musician Mayorkun met football star Victor Osimhen, who plays for the Serie A team Napoli.

As he is fondly known, the Mayor of Lagos posted images and a video of them on his official Instagram profile.

In the video, Mayorkun was seen praising Osimhen’s prowess while analyzing his football abilities.

He complimented the footballer for his gracious hospitality during his stay in the caption of the post.

“My first time in Naples & @victorosimhen9 made sure I had a good time.. Big love my brother! Keep smashing in those goals. ❤️🤞🏾”

Taking to the comment section, Osimhen also expressed delight in seeing the singer.

“The MAYOR himself!!!!❤️good to see you my brother✊🏽,” he wrote.

Mayorkun speaks on his beef with Davido

Mayorkun, a well-known Nigerian singer, recently responded to a question about whether he has any issues with his former record label, DMW (30BG), headed by singer Davido.

In 2021, during the release party of his second album “Back In Office,” Mayorkun announced his departure from DMW, thehe joined in 2016.

Mayorkun’s contract was not renewed by DMW, and the label did not promote his second album.

In a recent development, during a question-and-answer session titled “Let us talk,” a curious fan asked Mayorkun if he had any issues with DMW, pointing out that he did not see him at Davido’s Timeless concert in Lagos.

The netizen wrote:

“What’s wrong with you and 30BG, notice you did not go to the concert cause I did not see you.”

Mayorkun found the question amusing and asked if he and the inquirer were in the same world.

Despite leaving the record label, it appears that all is well between Mayorkun and DMW as the singer performed at Davido’s Timeless concert contrary to the fan’s assertion.
