The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) will bring Ezekiel ThankGod, the manager of singer Mercy Chinwo, to court on Friday, February 14, 2025, even though the arrest order against him has been canceled.
He is accused of financially exploiting the music star.
At the court session, the case scheduled for Friday, January 24, 2025, was pushed back after the manager’s attorney asked for a new date due to lack of preparation.
The lawyer mentioned that Ezekiel, his client, was not aware of the summons.
He told the court that his client would come in willingly, leading to the cancellation of the arrest warrant.
Meanwhile, a source with knowledge of the situation stated that Pearson Consulting, an independent audit firm, discovered that Ezeetee misappropriated USD 264,000 from gospel artist Minister Judykay.
The information came to light through an audit report created after a careful review of financial records
The findings were shared with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for additional investigation and have become an important part of the fraud case against Ezeetee, who is also facing other allegations concerning artists under his label.
