Tito Jackson, the cherished musician and one of the founding members of the iconic Jackson 5, as well as the brother of Michael Jackson, has passed away at the age of 70.
His children shared the heartbreaking news on Sunday, September 16th, 2024, leaving both fans and family in mourning.
While reports indicate that Tito may have suffered a heart attack, the Jackson family has yet to confirm the official cause of death.
He is survived by his three children—Taj, Taryll, and TJ—who continue his musical legacy through their group, 3T, along with his grandchildren. His former wife, Delores Martes, sadly passed away in 1994.
“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson, is no longer with us. We are shocked, saddened, and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared deeply about everyone and their well-being,” his children TJ, Taj, and Taryll expressed in an Instagram post.
Tito’s passing is a poignant moment for fans and the music community, following the earlier losses of his brother Michael in 2009 and their father, Joe Jackson, in 2018.
