General Christopher Musa, the chief of defense staff, has commanded all military leaders and soldiers to exact revenge for the deaths of their comrades.
He spoke at the Friday funeral for military men killed by bandits in Niger State.
The chief of defense vowed that those in charge of the personnel’s deaths would be held accountable.
When you have to bury your own, it hurts a lot, Musa said. I want the families to know that their deaths weren’t in vain.
“Thank you for them. We’ll make sure whoever did this has to pay for it. I take this chance to urge all Nigerian troops and commanders that we must exact revenge. We will smoke out anyone who committed this crime or who continues to murder our soldiers, no matter where they are.
He vowed that the military would root out terrorists, bandits, and other criminal elements in the nation.
