Miss Universe Nigeria Mitchel Ihezue is preparing to relinquish her crown.

She announced it on her Instagram page earlier this week.

According to her, she will hand over her crown to another queen on August 31, 2024.

The beauty queen stated that the memories and pride of representing Nigeria as Miss Universe 2023 will be with her forever.

She said:  “On August 31st, I’ll be passing my crown, but the memories and pride of representing my country as Miss Universe 2023 will stay with me forever.”

In her farewell note, she thanked everyone who helped make her reign unforgettable.

The beauty queen also expressed gratitude for the opportunity her reign provided, noting that she was granted the chance twice.

“Grateful to have experienced this incredible journey twice! Super thankful for the opportunities it’s brought my way. Counting down my final days as Miss Universe 2023. Thank you for the love and support!” she added.

Mitchel defeated 36 other exceptional contenders to win the coveted Miss Universe Nigeria crown on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at the Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos.

She represented Nigeria in the 72nd Miss Universe pageant, which was held in El Salvador on November 18, 2023.

In another news, Former Miss Universe Mitchel Ihezue’s husband, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, surprised her with a white Range Rover Velar in a video.

It was reported that the beauty queen and her husband had a lavish wedding in December 2023.

One of the most memorable moments of the society wedding was when Nkachukwu’s five sons handed their new stepmother a brand-new black Range Rover Velar as a wedding gift.

Mitchel appreciated her man’s latest gift and her stepsons’ tremendous love for her so far.

“Woke up Sunday morning to the best surprise ever!! Thank you so much to my family, Nick, Henry, Phil, David and my sweet boy Matthew. “I love and appreciate you guys. And my husband !!!! My love, my odogwu, God will continue to bless you!”
