Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has left Nigeria following an alleged attempt on his life.
He announced his departure after missing the Coroner court session for the late singer Mohbad and failing to lead a scheduled protest at the Lagos State Assembly on September 30, 2024.
According to reports from Gistlover, Fabiyi had planned the protest to coincide with the resumption of the coroner’s investigation into Mohbad’s death.
In explaining his absence, the actor stated that he felt his life was in danger after narrowly escaping an assassination attempt just two days prior.
In a controversial video shared on his Instagram account, Fabiyi, who is currently in hiding, revealed an alleged conspiracy against him related to the Mohbad case.
“I escaped assassination two days ago and they still planned to kill me tonight. If they had succeeded, I would have been buried tomorrow.
“They will now waste me all because I’m fighting for Justice. I didn’t collect money from anybody. I am just doing my own for God. I have to run for my life. I just left Nigeria unplanned and as it is now I don’t even know my destination,” he claimed.
