“Mohbad died because he betrayed Naira Marley” – Portable rubbishes late singer, throws weight behind for Marlian bos

According to him, Mohbad accused the label of not showing him the love and support he expected, which led to his abrupt departure. Mohbad then became involved with Naira Marley’s adversaries, who allegedly organized his death in order to blame Naira Marley.

Portable Omolalomi, a controversial singer, accuses his late colleague, Mohbad, of being a traitor, which resulted in his murder.

According to Portable, Mohbad, a budding artist nurtured by Marlian Music, abandoned the label that had catapulted his career to new heights.

According to him, Mohbad accused the label of not showing him the love and support he expected, which led to his abrupt departure. Mohbad then became involved with Naira Marley’s adversaries, who allegedly organized his death in order to blame Naira Marley.

Portable underscored the irony of musicians such as Naira Marley investing their resources and mentorship to assist young performers develop, only to be betrayed.

He emphasized that Naira Marley’s support for Mohbad was real and unselfish, making Mohbad’s alleged betrayal even more painful and unfathomable.

He also expressed hope that Naira Marley would be exonerated soon.

Translating from Yoruba to English, he said:

“Mohbad was k!lled because he was a betrayer. We help these young artistes and make them blow but they repay us with evil. After everything Marlian music did for Mohbad, he later said they didn’t love him. He left the label and went to associate with the enemies of Naira Marley. Those ones then k!lled him to implicate Naira. God will save Naira from this mess because he only helped MohBad out of a good heart but he betrayed him”
