At Mohbad’s candlelight procession, Nollywood stars Uche Jombo and Alesh Sanni chastised the victims of Lekki teargas.
On Thursday evening, a candlelight vigil for the late future singer was held at Lekki Toll Gate, with various celebrities in attendance.
While many people left for their various homes following the event, others formed a protest for the deceased, prompting authorities to use tear gas to disperse the crowd of people.
Uche Jombo reprimanded them, pointing out that the parade ended at 8 p.m. and the throng was requested to return home, but many remained obstinate, holding protests at Tollgate.
She encouraged Nigerians to perform better, questioning why sympathizers headed for Toll Gate following the order.
“So candlelight vigil for Mohbad finished at 8 pm and some people went to toll gate why? I saw that tear gas video and thought it was at the vigil. It was after sometimes as a people we can overdo things”.
Joining her, Alesh also noted how the crowd was asked to go home since the protest was canceled.
He added that Nigerians love to do too much atimes.
He wrote:
“You guys missed the point of this whole thing!!!! This is Candle Night and not Protest!!
The initial walk that was supposed to replace the Protest was canceled just becos of something like this…
This is candle night and not protest!!!
