- Mrs. Abosede Aloba, mother of Mohbad, and actor Yomi Fabiyi have reportedly clashed over the cause of the singer’s death.
- Fabiyi accused Adura Aloba’s brother of messaging him on Instagram, claiming to know the root cause of his brother’s death, at a World Press Conference in Lagos State.
- Aloba denied the claim, stating that Adura would not have known the cause of Mohbad’s death and should remain silent.
Mrs. Abosede Aloba, the mother of the deceased artist Ilerioluwa, widely recognized as Mohbad, has engaged in a dispute with actor Yomi Fabiyi regarding the circumstances surrounding the singer’s demise.
During a World Press Conference convened on Wednesday at the Radisson Blu in Ikeja, Lagos State, where he advocated for justice for Mohbad, Fabiyi alleged that the late singer’s brother, Adura Aloba, had contacted him via Instagram, asserting that he possessed knowledge about the true cause of his brother’s death.
In reply, Aloba refuted this assertion, emphasizing that Adura could not possibly be aware of the reasons behind Mohbad’s passing and should refrain from making further comments.
The visibly enraged mother directed her finger at Fabiyi, exclaiming, “They killed Mohbad, and you want me to lose his brother unjustly. He knows nothing about his brother’s death; do not implicate my son.”
“I am not happy that I lost Mohbad because if he were alive, I wouldn’t be sitting here with you. They took my precious gift away, and I won’t let them take Adura, too,” she added.
Fabiyi replied, indicating that his focus was not on the identity of the message’s sender, but rather on the content of the message itself. He expressed his skepticism regarding the possibility that Adura was not the one who had sent it.
