- Wunmi Aloba, the widow of late singer Mohbad, has accused her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, of deliberately delaying his burial without a valid reason.
- Wunmi expressed heartbreak over the delay in Mohbad’s burial, stating that despite public calls for closure, her father continues to obstruct the process.

Wunmi Aloba, the widow of the late musician Mohbad, has voiced her distress regarding the extended preservation of her husband’s remains, alleging that her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, is intentionally postponing the burial without justifiable cause.
In a poignant interview with media figure Chude Jideonwo, Wunmi shared that the ongoing delay has been profoundly painful for her, highlighting that despite widespread public appeals for closure, Mohbad’s father has persistently hindered the burial arrangements.
“It still feels like he is alive because he is in Yaba morgue. It is so sad that he has not been buried, and he has been cut twice. There is no genuine reason why he is still in that morgue, but my father-in-law is busy manipulating the public,” she expressed.
Wunmi also reflected on Mohbad’s profound affection for their son, Liam, recalling how he had tattooed their child’s name even prior to his birth.
“If only the dead could see, my husband would have cried gallons of tears… My husband loved Liam so much to the extent that he tattooed his name before he was born. He was his source of happiness. If you want to see his good side, just carry Liam,” she remarked.
She further conveyed her astonishment that her late husband’s father could be the one obstructing his burial, considering the deep love and respect Mohbad had for him.
Mohbad, whose full name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, died under contentious circumstances in September 2023, igniting public outrage and calls for justice. However, with nearly two years having passed since his death and his body still unburied, tensions between Wunmi and her father-in-law continue to escalate.
