Wunmi, the distressed widow of the late musician Mohbad, has provided a comprehensive account of the circumstances leading to his demise.
In a recent appearance on TVC’s Your View show, she recounted Mohbad’s adverse reaction following injections administered by a nurse who was called to treat his injuries.
Wunmi stated that the nurse arrived around 2 p.m. while she was in the kitchen preparing for their son Liam’s five-month celebration. She accompanied the nurse upstairs, where they opted to treat Mohbad in the master bedroom due to limited space.
Reflecting on the incident, she noted, “The nurse examined the wounded part, and I informed her that my husband was an ulcer patient, so she should be careful with what she administered. I asked about the injections, and she mentioned tetanus and other medications. She gave him the first and second injections without issue, but when she administered the third, he immediately asked her to take it out, saying he needed to throw up and urinate.”
Wunmi recounted assisting Mohbad to the restroom, where he vomited and urinated. However, upon their return, he suddenly collapsed and began to cry out for water, expressing that his heart felt as though it was burning.
“We poured water on him, and he asked for the air condition because he was feeling extremely hot inside. He started having goosebumps and continued throwing up, so we moved him to Liam’s room, where there was an AC. Still, he was uncomfortable, so we sought help from a neighbor to take him to the hospital because his car was faulty,” she narrated.
Due to heavy traffic, they had to take him to the hospital on a motorcycle. Unfortunately, upon their arrival, the doctor declared him dead.
Mohbad’s untimely death on September 12, 2023, has elicited widespread reactions and calls for justice, with many expressing concerns regarding the circumstances of his passing.
