Moment 4.8-Magnitude Earthquake Shook Building And Interrupted UN Security Council Meeting (Video)

According to the US Geological Survey, a magnitude-4.8 earthquake struck the northeastern United States at 10:23 a.m. on Friday, April 5, triggering vibrations from Philadelphia to Boston and shaking skyscrapers in Manhattan and throughout the five boroughs.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake occurred near Lebanon, New Jersey, some 50 miles west of New York City, where china dishes shook in eateries and terrified inhabitants dashed into the streets to discover trees, automobiles, and the ground trembling.

The earthquake occurred during a United Nations Security Council meeting, and video footage showed the building trembling in the middle of the meeting.

Soeripto paused and asked, “Is that an earthquake?”

People reported feeling tremors from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts. A New York City Police Department spokesperson said it had not received any reports of damage.
