A viral video of Nollywood Actor, Olanrewaju James, better known as Baba Ijesha slipping on the rails of the court after bagging a 16 years jail term for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl, has stirred reactions online.
The embattled movie star was convicted before the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on Thursday, July 14.
The presiding judge, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, in a two-hour judgement, convicted Baba Ijesha of indecent treatment, sexual assault, and attempted sexual assault of comedienne, Princess’ foster’s daughter.
Baba Ijesha was sentenced to 16 years in prison which he will serve concurrently for 5 years in prison.
After getting the judgement, Baba Ijesha on his way to the prison fell on the staircase of the court raising concerns about his fitness.
