On a movie about unpaid debt, Nigerian actress and filmmaker Bose Akinola and her coworker Rukayat Lawal, also known as Iya Ibadan, got into a lighthearted argument.
Iya Ibadan shared a video of herself and Bose teasingly arguing on Instagram over Bose not paying her for appearing in his film.
The producer of Idajo Owo, according to the filmmaker’s close friend Iya Ibadan, gave her N500 instead of the N500,000 she was meant to receive for appearing in her movie. She also gave her a copy of the N500 receipt that Bose had given her.
The ladies were heard chatting in the video, and Iya Ibadan threatened to stop recording unless she received her entire amount.
Captioning the funny video, Rukayat wrote:
“This 2024 I No Go Gree For Anybody Seh. Ise logun ise Mura si ise ore mi. I put a lot of effort to get to where I am today. So I know where it hurts when I say it hurts…
“I intentionally waited for today that if you do not pay me I won’t be on your set. And to my surprise @akinboss12 credited me #500 out of #500k I requested for, there is no friendship in business but when our little effort is appreciated then the urge to discharge our duties won’t be rivaled.
I’m using this parliamentary medium to call Bose Akinola out to pay my balance. I NO GO GREE FOR ANYBODY this 2024
Swipe to see the receipt oooo. Thanks.
RUKAYAT LAWAL.”
Toyosi Adesanya, Mama No Network, and Christaina Boluwade were among the celebs that flocked to the post’s comment area to express their amusement at the humorous film.
