A video which is circulating online shows the moment officials of NEPA fled upon possible threat to their lives.
They reportedly went to Ajegunle in Lagos state to disconnect power and they were met with aggression by angry members of the community.
It was gathered that the residents threatened to beat them up if they dared cut electric supply, but the officials remained committed to doing their job.
The video surfaced at a time that the IKEDC cut off power supply across the country as part of a warning strike.
Ajegunle youths who were displeased with their presence engaged them in a hot pursuit in a bid to pounce on them so they had to take to their heels.
In the video, power officials who donned in their uniform, could be seen running away in fear.
