Oloruntimilehin Bosede Bukola, popularly known as Kiitan Bukola, is a Nigerian film actress who has raised a lot of questions after she appeared to deny owning a home worth millions of naira that the government had demolished some months ago.
After the Lagos State government demolished homes in Lekki in October, Kiitan took to social media to voice her protest.
In a video that she posted, a psychologically exhausted Kiitan expressed her shock as having finally experienced Nigeria.
In response to the heartbreaking news, her senior coworker Iyabo Ojo even extended an accomodation offer to her.
The movie star sidestepped the topic of who was the owner of the property worth over N500 million that was damaged during the demolition in a recent interview.
Rather than provide a direct response, Kiitan Bukola artfully clarified that she never claimed ownership of the land.
She said that she had simply mentioned that Nigeria had occurred to her, indicating that she was aware of other people’s suffering. Moreover, she claimed that she had created the post just as a diversion from her demanding work schedule. In part, Kiitan stated:
“First of all the video I posted did I say a word in it? I never said I bought a house N500million. I only said Nigeria has happened to me, demolition. I never said the house was mine. If the house was mine, would people not close to me know? You don’t know what I have or don’t have. I posted the video so that people that I had worked for, would know that I was going through a tough time”.
