Delighted Nigerians stand in the rain to celebrate celebrity Chef Hilda Baci as she breaks the Guinness World Record for marathon cooking.

It was previously stated that Hilda had beaten the Indian chef Lata Tondon’s previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes for the longest cooking marathon.

Since May 11, Hilda has been cooking uninterrupted, garnering media attention as well as the support of Nigerians who stood outside in the rain to cheer her on.

Many politicians and celebrities, like Peter Obi and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, have thrown their support behind her.

Hilda Baci, a 27-year-old chef, took a lengthy break after hours of nonstop cooking, but her mother never left her side.

The young woman was seen in a recent video posted on TikTok resting on the bed with a face mask on and wearing her culinary costume.

A cameraman made sure it was shot and captured her from the right side in the viral video. Hilda opted to take an hour’s rest, according to a description of her nap.

It continued by saying that Hilda is anticipated to resume her duties in the kitchen prior to 11:45 a.m.

It was further said that the extended rest is her reward for all of the short rests she has taken while standing.

So far, the sociology graduate from Madonna University, Okija has done over 88 hours of cooking and is still going.
