Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, better known online as Adekunle Gold, is a Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter. He recently begged followers to send him money via a cryptic message posted on social media.
The musician appeared to be backtracking on his recent statement that wealth provides happiness, but he acknowledged it in a tweet with the caption “Send dollars.”
He continued by saying that the only thing that could make him happy is to receive money or dollars. He feels depressed and miserable.
He said: “The way I am tired and sad today, as I dey like this, na only money fit make me smile.”
“And yes, I know I said money no dey bring happiness, but today, I changed my mind. So if you like me and you want me to smile, send dollars.”
