He raised a question about why people are expected to stay the same even when they become wealthier.

“Why do people always expect that people wouldn’t change when money enters the picture?” Jacobs asked.

“That’s self-righteousness at its peak.”

He stressed that being wealthy changes people, claiming, “Even you won’t remain the same after making a certain size of fortunes.”

Jacobs pointed out how money can change lives, referring to the biblical idea of mammon as a competitor to God for people’s devotion.

“…the only competition for Man’s heart God knows HE has is nothing else but money (mammon),” he noted.

In other news, Nollywood veteran Bimbo Akintola has shared the reasons for her single status at the age of 54.

Bimbo mentioned that people frequently compare her to her richer peers, making her wonder where their money comes from.

“Some lifestyles on social media are genuine, but where does the money come from?” Akintola asked.

“We know how much actresses earn from films, so I wonder if it’s from other businesses or family wealth.”

Akintola acknowledged rumors about actresses dating politicians or engaging in other lucrative ventures to support their lifestyles.

“We’ve heard stories, and we know these things happen,” she said.
