More Trouble For Residents As IPMAN Shut Down Fuel Stations In Niger

Amidst the current fuel scarcity and increase in price across the country, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, has ordered all its members to shut down operations in Niger State.

The decision comes after a fuel attendant was killed by personnel of the Nigerian Air Force on Monday at the AY Ashafa filling station, due to a disagreement between the officer and the station’s manager.

Speaking on the development, the chairman of the association, Adama Erena said the shutdown is not to suffer the masses but to pass a message of sadness to the authorities.

According to Adama Erena, the unjust killing of the boy must not be swept under carpet as justice must be served.

He added that the victim didn’t do anything wrong to the NAF officer and his family must be compensated for the act of wickedness.

He said: “The shutdown is not to suffer the masses but to pass the message of our sadness across to the authorities.

“There is no way we can let this go just like that, justice must take place. The boy didn’t do anything wrong to them and his family must be compensated for this wickedness”
