One of the leading governorship aspirants in Lagos, Obafemi Hamzat, has stepped down for Babajide Sanwo-Olu ahead of tomorrow’s Lagos governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to reports, while announcing his decision to step down, Hamzat also enjoined all his supporters to work for Sanwo-Olu, saying the decision is in the collective interest of the party.
Tomorrow’s governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state would now be a straight fight between the incumbent Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Independent reports that the reconciliatory efforts being made by the campaign team of Sanwo-Olu to woo aggrieved members of the APC seems to be paying off.
Sanwo-Olu was on Friday, September 29, endorsed by the Iyaloja-General of Lagos state, Chief Mrs Folashade Tinubu- Ojo and other market leaders in state.
