Recently, a Nigerian mother went viral after she disclosed that she had withdrew her children from school as a result of financial constraints.
Within seven hours of requesting assistance on social media, she had ₦206,000 in contributions.
On Wednesday, October 22, she took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her predicament, stating, “Hardest decision. Had to withdraw my boys from school till further notice.”
Many people responded, wanting to know more about her situation.
She shared, “I can’t afford to keep them in school for the time being; there’s so much medical debt and now a funeral that’ll set me back even more.”
She also mentioned, “I wish I could explain it better, but I’m my dad’s only surviving child, and if I don’t manage this situation, it could be unfair to me in the future.”
Shortly after, someone commented, offering to help: “I’m so sorry, Precious. It’s hard everywhere, but can’t we raise the funds for you?”
Later, this person updated everyone that they had raised ₦206,000 to assist her and her children.
The user concluded, “Thanks to you all, God will bless you abundantly. The fundraising is now closed. You’ll never lack. Amen.”
