Mr. Jollof Weighs In On Remi Tinubu, Delta Nursing School Incident

  • Mr. Jollof, commented on First Lady Remi Tinubu’s visit to a nursing school in Delta State.
  • The event featured an MC who encouraged students to call the First Lady “our mama.”
  • Students responded by saying “their mama,” which went viral on social media.
  • Freedom Atsepoyi, popularly known as Mr. Jollof, has added his voice to the ongoing controversy surrounding First Lady Remi Tinubu’s visit to a nursing school in Delta State.

During the visit, an unexpected moment unfolded when the event’s MC led a song encouraging the students to refer to the First Lady as “our mama.” Instead of complying, the students collectively responded with “their mama,” a reaction that quickly went viral across social media platforms, sparking widespread discussions.

Addressing the incident in a newly shared video, Mr. Jollof explained that many people had urged him to speak on the matter. He pointed out that the MC was responsible for the awkward moment, stating that the choice of song was inappropriate for the occasion. He further emphasized that the event was not a political gathering and that it was unreasonable to expect grown adults to accept someone else as their mother.

“You can’t ask people to call someone else their mother, it’s not a political gathering,” he said.
