The announcement from MTN about a 200 percent rise in data tariffs has sparked mixed reactions.
According to Gistlover, many Nigerians were upset to find out that the price for 15GB has increased from N2000 to N6000.
Following this, MTN used their official X page to comment on the price increase.
They apologized to Nigerians and acknowledged the public’s anger.
The network provider asked everyone to “forgive and forget,” but did not indicate whether they would review the data prices.
“To our 15G digital bundle lovers,
You dey vex. We know.
