Multichoice stated that the increase in its DSTV and GOTV bundles would take effect from Wednesday, May 1, 2024, particularly for new subscribers and those renewing their subscriptions.
In an email to clients on Wednesday, Multichoice Nigeria stated that the new pricing adjustment was made owing to a continual increase in production costs within the nation.
According to the pricing, the pay television outlet raised the membership rate for bundles on both platforms by 26%.
In an email signed by Multichoice’s Chief Executive Officer, John Ugbe, he claimed that the decision will allow the company to supply more quality programming to its customers across the country.
According to the statement, “On Wednesday, 1 May 2024 we will adjust our prices across all our packages on DStv and GOtv.
“We understand the impact this change may have on you – our valued customer, but the rise in the cost of business operations, has led us to make this difficult decision.
“It remains our mission to provide the best entertainment and viewing experience to you and are committed to continue to deliver high-quality content and unparalleled service”.
