Hours after news of Murphy Afolabi’s death broke out, a close circle of the actor revealed the cause of his death.

In a post by his colleague, Tunde Ola Yusuf on his Instagram page, the Yoruba actor has been confirmed dead in the early hours of today.

Praying for his soul to rest in peace, he bade the actor farewell.

“We lost a strong Filmmaker Murphy Afolabi…

May God rest your soul bro”.

In a new update, it was learnt that the actor slipped on tiles and hit his head on a hard surface.

His colleague, Seun Oloketuyi disclosed the sad news on his Instagram page moments ago.

According to him, Murphy died after sustaining injuries from falling in the bathroom.

He promised to share further details.

“Breaking. Murphy Afolabi is dead. He died from injuries sustained from falling in the bathroom. Details later”.

His painful death is coming a week after he celebrated his birthday.

The movie star had expressed gratitude to God as he made a special request to him.

He asked God for blessings and grace and for the strength and courage to continue serving him faithfully.
