John Cena, the American actor and professional wrestler, has disclosed that his greatest apprehension is his potential inability to become a “great parent.”
At 47 years of age and having been married twice without having children, Cena articulated that he feels unprepared to dedicate the necessary time to excel in parenting.
“My biggest fear is I don’t think I’m personally ready, nor will I ever be, to invest the time it takes to be a great parent,” Cena said in a recent interview with Club Shay Shay.
“Because I still have a lot to do and I still want to do a lot. I have a wonderful partner, we’ve had open conversations about this. We share the same values.
“It’s a tough subject to talk about because it immediately puts you in a category. People tend to judge. Human nature, we are all judgmental. But I operate under the construct that everyone is okay living their lives.
“I’m very happy with where I stand. I’ve a lot of joy and fulfilment in my life.”
John Cena was married to Elizabeth Huberdeau on July 11, 2009. He filed for divorce on May 1, 2012, and the divorce was finalized on July 18 of the same year.
On October 12, 2020, Cena wed Shay Shariatzadeh, his girlfriend since early 2019, in a private ceremony held in Tampa, Florida. Neither of his marriages resulted in children.
