Nigerian singer Ayra Starr recently stated that she would want to collaborate with US-Barbadian diva Rihanna aka Riri.
The “Rush” singer said that working with Rihanna has always been a childhood dream of hers and that she views her as a “queen.”
Ayra made the discovery while featuring on Elle’s Game of Song Association.
She commended Rihanna’s songs for giving her confidence and talked about how much she adores everything about the singer. Says Ayra
“My dream collab is Rihanna. That’s like my number one dream collab because I grew up listening to Rihanna. She’s my queen. I love her, I love her music. She makes me feel confident when I listen to her. I just love Rihanna. Everything Rihanna, I love it.”
In a recent interview with UK-based Kiss FM, Ayra Starr stated that Rihanna influenced her fashion style.
In her words:
“It’s everywhere. You know, people inspire me.
Everybody inspires me. All the baddies on the gram. All the sabi girls. Everybody; my mum, my aunty, Rihanna.”
Fast rising Nigerian singer, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe better known as Ayra Starr has reacted to a viral tweet comparing her to Beyonce.
A Twitter user had opined that the Mavins singer, who is now one of the hottest female singers in Nigeria is fast replacing American singer, Beyonce.
“AYRA STARR IS SLOWLY REPLACING BEYONCE”.
Reacting to it, Ayra Starr, with a little bit of sarcasm noted how the Twitter user was setting her up for draggings.
One thing about Beyonce’s die-hard fans, popularly known as Beyhives is that they don’t play about their queen and don’t condone any comparison. Any celebrity who is being compared with Queen B, always end up being mercilessly dragged.
Fearing her fans’ dragging, Ayra Starr tweeted, “Una go just dey set me up for draggings lol”.
