Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Nigerians following the successful release of her debut cinema film, Queen Lateefah.
In a post shared on her Instagram account, she characterized the experience as rewarding, humbling, and significant, emphasizing the valuable lessons learned while venturing into a broader market.
Wumi conveyed her deep appreciation for the overwhelming support and reception she received, reflecting on how an initially uncertain concept evolved into something far beyond her expectations. She extended her thanks to all who supported her, including her cast, crew, and fellow colleagues.
She wrote,
“Thank you, Nigeria. It was a worthy, humbling, and impactful experience. Oh yes! A great experience exploring the wider market and to be very honest, it was a learning curve for me.
My gratitude knows no bounds.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support me. Thank you for your love towards QUEEN LATEEFAH.
Having recorded the success QUEEN LATEEFAH attained at the cinemas, l am beyond overwhelmed with the love and reception. What started as an uncertain idea blossomed into something greater than I could have imagined.
The smiles! Happy times were had by the audience. This memory I’ll never forget! I remember and greatly miss seeing the beautiful smile and satisfaction on people’s faces after watching QUEEN LATEEFAH.
