My husband makes l0ve from midnight till dawn – Woman seeking divorce-seeking tells court

• On Tuesday, 37-year-old Linda Stephen approached the Kaduna Customary Court, seeking to terminate her marriage to Felix Stephen because of his overwhelming sexual demands.

• She explained that her husband cannot manage his impulses when he wants sex, and if she says no, he physically abuses her, even in front of their children.

• Responding the husband, Stephen replied in court that he loves his wife. He asked the court to help him reconcile with her and not to grant her divorce.

A 37-year-old woman named Linda Stephen asked the Kaduna Customary Court on Tuesday to dissolve her marriage to Felix Stephen, citing his extreme s3xual demands as the reason.

In her petition, Mrs. Stephen, who lives in Ungwan Sunday, Kaduna, accused her husband of physically abusing her whenever she declined his s3xual advances.

After six years of marriage, she stated that she was no longer interested in staying married, as she could not cope with his excessive requests.

“I urge the court to dissolve this marriage because I can’t stand his excessive s3xual urge. He likes s3x too much, and I can’t bear it.

“Most times, he would have s3x with me from midnight till early hours of the morning. Even when I am crying, he will not stop.

“It has been three months since I moved out of his house, his relatives have been pleading with me to go back to him, but they do not know what I am facing,” she said.

Stephen replied in court that he loves his wife. He asked the court to help him reconcile with her and not to grant her divorce.

He expressed that he has been pleading with her not to go through with the divorce, as he is now willing to control his s3xual needs.

“I took my uncles and friends to her parents house to plead with her. But she refused to listen to us instead she walked out on us,’’ Stephen said.

He further pleaded with the court to give him time to sort things out and reconcile with his wife.
