Nigerian comedian and influencer Anita Asuoha, popularly recognized as Real Warri Pikin, has announced that her new web series, titled ‘Base On Street,’ was developed to pay tribute to the essence of the Warri community and her supporters.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, she expressed, “What inspired me to create this series was my love for my Warri people and the fact that I generally wanted something original and very relatable. Apart from the series being hilariously entertaining and educational, it also sheds light on the ugly side of prostitution and the importance of making a critical decision in one’s life.”

Providing an overview of the series, Real Warri Pikin explained, “The series follows the journey of two sisters who leave Warri for Lagos in search of greener pastures. When they can’t find their old friend, they’re left stranded and must figure out how to make ends meet. As they take on a series of unconventional jobs, their adventures will keep you entertained and glued to your screen.”

She further emphasized that the series seeks to highlight the necessity of gathering adequate information before undertaking any venture, as well as the importance of critical thinking in decision-making, given that such choices can profoundly impact one’s life trajectory.

“Another point that really resonates is the issue of prostitution and how it should never be considered, no matter how difficult life may be,” she said.

In addition to herself, the cast includes Ruth Dickson, Nonso Adika-Afolabi, Oluwatosin, Akorede Ajayi, and Alvin Odibo.
