“My son lived in fear all his life” – Mohbad’s mom shares why late singer held a secret wedding

  • Abosede, the mother of late singer Mohbad, claims his son chose to keep his wedding and son’s birth private due to threats and pressure from his formerboss, Naira Marley.
    • In a recent TikTok session, Mohbad mom revealed that her son lived in fear due to Naira Marley’s influence, highlighting his good character.
    • She accused Mohbad’s father of delaying a DNA test to confirm Liam’s paternity.

Abosede, the mother of the late artist Mohbad, has asserted that her son opted to keep his marriage to Omowunmi and the birth of his child confidential due to the threats and pressures exerted by his formerhead, Naira Marley.

“My son lived in fear all his life. It was because of Naira Marley that my son did not publicise his wedding and the birth of his son. Mohbad was a good man. He never trafficked cocaine. I am saying this with conviction,” she remarked during a recent live session on TikTok.

She further alleged that Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, was responsible for the delay in the DNA test intended to establish the paternity of Liam, the singer’s son.

Abosede expressed her exasperation regarding the ongoing dispute, emphasizing that both she and Omowunmi were prepared for the test.

“Jossy is the one delaying the DNA. We are ready for DNA. Wunmi must do the DNA because of Liam. I know he is my grandchild. When Mohbad was alive he never mentioned Liam was not his,” she said.

Abosede reminisced about how Aloba had taken photographs with Liam just days prior to Mohbad’s passing, implying that he had no doubts regarding the child’s paternity.

She maintained that her son was a good person and refuted any allegations linking him to drug trafficking.

In addressing another issue, Abosede clarified that Adura, Mohbad’s brother, was not the individual who reached out to actor Yomi Fabiyi with information concerning the singer’s demise. She accused Yomi of attempting to implicate Adura based on misleading assertions from Damola, another person involved in the matter.

Earlier, Omowunmi, Mohbad’s widow, criticized Aloba for evading the DNA test, which has further intensified speculation regarding his true motives.

Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, under contentious circumstances, and his remains were exhumed for an autopsy nine days later. However, the situation remains unresolved as familial disputes continue to capture public attention.
