Falz, a well-known rapper, believes that the 300 billion naira spent on the 2023 elections would have been better spent on the country’s infrastructure.
This was stated by the singer of “Soft Work” in a tweet on his official Twitter account.
This follows the controversies and irregularities that have surrounded the elections that took place in February and March.
Falz, who believes that Yakubu Mahmood’s actions were selection rather than election-related, claimed that the money could have been used to improve Nigeria’s infrastructure.
Falz wrote:
“Make we no forget say over 300 BILLION Naira wey fit build beta infrastructure, Mr Yakubu use am conduct Selection.”
Falz, has blasted Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his gratitude post he shared with Lagosians.
After the re-elected Governor posted on Twitter, Falz replied angrily to the Governor’s post on the same platform.
It will be recalled that the Governorship election was held over the weekend across Nigeria. And in Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu emerged winner under the APC umbrella.
Falz, who was rooting for the Labour Party candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes, did not seem pleased with the result as there have been reports of mayhem, violence and rigging.
Falz insisted that the people did not elect Sanwo-Olu, and he had forcefully elected himself as it was a glaring fact for all to see.
He replied: You were not re-elected. You selected yourself. Everybody saw it unfold. You are only deceiving Yourselves.
