Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has finally responded to the N500 million lawsuit filed against her by singer Naira Marley.
GISTLOVER reported last Thursday that Azeez Adeshina Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, had dragged Iyabo to court, demanding a public apology from the controversial actress or face legal proceedings worth N500 million in damages.
In his lawsuit, Naira accused the actress of defaming him by posting false and malicious content about him on her Instagram page.
In response, she stated that the singer’s lawyer never thought it was worthwhile to serve her the lawsuit privately, preferring to disseminate it online.
The fearless mother of two had also filed a lawsuit, a counterclaim, against him for failure to serve her the suit by hand or through mail, which could lead to blackmail.
The movie star is demanding N1 billion from the singer for deliberately misleading the public.
“MY RESPONSE TO THE LETTER FROM MR OLALEKAN OJO SAN DELIBERATELY CIRCULATED OVER SOCIAL AND PRINT MEDIA WITHOUT DESERVING COURTESY TO SERVE ME.
I look forward to hearing from them at no distant time, please.
Yours sincerely,
Iyabo Ojo”.
