Some young ladies have staged a protest against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) for allegedly arresting their boyfriends.
They were part of a larger group of young Nigerians that hit the streets to demonstrate.
During the protest which happened in Warri, Delta state, the ladies who claim to be dating internet fraudsters aka Yahoo Boys, asked EFCC to leave them alone.
They stated that the money yahoo boys make from scam is what they depend on for their daily survival.
A video making the rounds online shows the young women demonstrating while carrying placards with different inscriptions.
This comes days after 95 suspected internet fraudsters were apprehended by the anti-graft agency.
They were arrested on September 29 during a sting operation at Adesa Ughonton and Jedda axis of Warri. More than a dozen exotic cars of different makes and model were also seized from the suspects.
One of the protesting ladies asked that her boyfriend be freed so that he can celebrate her birthday and her child’s dedication.
