A viral video reveals some women showing off the money they reportedly received for attending Bola Ahmed Tinubu‘s pre-inauguration event.
Online sources led to the conclusion that more than 40 musicians had contracts to perform at the occasion, which took place in Abuja’s MKO Abiola Stadium.
Timaya, Fireboy, Asake, Brymo, and other prominent Nigerian artists performed during the concert.
A few female attendees of the occasion proudly displayed an envelope bearing Bola Tinubu’s image.
Three newly printed 1,000 naira notes were placed inside each of the ladies’ envelopes.
Up-and-coming rapper, Odumodu Blvck, has revealed that he denied an invitation to play at President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inauguration.
The musician, best known for his hit ‘Declan Rice,’ revealed this information in a tweet that has since been deleted.
Odumodu Blvck disclosed in a tweet on Thursday, May 25, that the inauguration team approached him about performing at the ceremony on May 29, but he declined.
He further expressed that they should have conducted proper research before contacting him, hinting that he does not align with the president-elect’s ideals.
“They tried to get me to perform at the inauguration, they did not do their research,” he wrote in the now-deleted tweet.
