Chiefpriest’s court case with the EFCC is well-known. The court recently announced that the case will be postponed until June 25, after initially being scheduled for Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
Recall that Chiefpriest was charged by the EFCC on April 17, 2024, for allegedly misusing the Naira.
He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail of N10M. According to local TV Channels, the charges involve accusations of spraying and tampering with Naira notes at social events, which is a violation of the Central Bank Act 2007.
During the Eko Hotel event, Cubana Chiefpriest was caught abusing N500 notes issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) while dancing.
He was reportedly spraying the Naira notes for a duration of two hours, which is against the CBN Act.
